If you want to truly understand the wines from a certain region, you have to go directly to the source. Our Wine Education Abroad trips offer you a behind-the-scenes look at some of the world’s most famous wine regions — opening doors that would otherwise remain closed. Enjoy immersive food and wine tasting workshops with local connoisseurs, and visit some of the most important vineyards and cellars. You’ll not only deepen your understanding of an area’s wines and wine styles, you’ll make connections between the history and culture that have shaped them.

of Masterclasses with in-depth tastings as you learn about the appellations, districts,
varieties, culture, and wine. You’ll walk away with a deep understanding of the region’s
different styles of wines and instantly be a part of the Piemonte wine community,
having met key winemakers, growers and educators in the region.

There is perhaps no other wine region in the world so influenced by its terroir than Bourgogne. Gain a sense of place with this immersive exploration of the region, unpacking its complexity through expert-led seminars and tastings of over 125 wines. Enjoy several intimate visits each day with some of the best wine producers and vineyards, led by Napa Valley Wine Academy CEO and Official Bourgogne Ambassador, Christian Oggenfuss, dipWSET. Guided cultural visits include the Athenaeum Wine Bookstore, Vézelay Basilica and the Clos de Vougeot Château — a 12th century wine farm and 16th century chateau that have become one of the very best “table d’hôte” of France.

Bordeaux wine region of France. To truly understand the complexity of the region, it is

are thrown open for you to gain a deeper understanding of what makes Bordeaux one of
the top wine regions in the world.



Join our Argentina Wine Specialist, Jean Cox and see a side of Argentina very few get to explore. You’ll enjoy leisurely vineyard tours and tastings, gourmet dinners and lunches, a workshop at the Argentina Sommelier School, and a Mendoza city tour that will allow you to truly understand the country’s culture, cuisine and remarkable wine. Imagine tasting your way through 13 high-altitude wineries, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Andes Mountains. You will be visiting during the exciting harvest season!


Cancellations of confirmed in-person course enrollments and workshops are accepted up to 60 days before the start of the course. An administration fee of $50 plus the full cost of the study materials and exam fees will be deducted, and the remainder of the course fee refunded to the payee. Separate WSET exam cancellation/transfer rules apply.
Transfers of a confirmed enrollment to another course are accepted 60 days before the course start date with an administration fee of $50.

Cancellations less than 60 days before the in-person course start date or course no shows forfeit any refund/transfer options unless students can provide medical documentation. If medical documentation is provided, students can be transferred to a later course. No refunds will be applied.

Course Transfers cannot be carried forward to the next academic year (which commenced on January 1).

Students are highly encouraged to purchase separate travel insurance.
