Jason Haas, Partner and General Manager of Tablas Creek Vineyard, leads a tasting of individual grapes that make up the Tablas Creek “Esprit de Beaucastel” red and white wines before we taste the respective “Esprit de Beaucasatel” wines.  Jason will teach us about Chateauneuf-du-Pape and its iconic winery Chateau de Beaucastel: the inspirations behind Tablas Creek. He’ll tell us the history and intimate connection between Beaucastel and Tablas Creek. It’s a night of wine tasting and history.

Thursday, Nov 21: Northern Rhone Valley Wines

With importer Jack Edwards of JAE Wine Imports.
Jack Edward’s portfolio includes Cote Rotie, Saint Joseph, Condrieu and great value IGP wines.
He will present a brilliant, delicious variety of white and red wines from the Northern Rhone.

Tasting, lecture and discussion.
6 PM arrival, 6:15 start.

Thursday, Dec 5 : “Las Madres Vineyard” Syrahs

Same vineyard, same grapes, different winemaking.
“Las Madres” is unique in that the grapes for all wineries are picked at the same time, and the blocks (sections) of the vineyard are combined. This means all the wineries start with the same fruit. The difference, within the vintage, is purely the winemaking. We’ll taste six “Las Madres” Syrahs, vintage to be determined. Winery representatives will attend.

Tasting, lecture and discussion.
6 PM arrival, 6:15 start.
