You will be greeted in our lounge with a glass of local sparkling wine, and led through a tasting of 6 to 8 wines. During the Masterclass, we will engage all of your senses: smell, taste, sight, touch, hearing; we will go beyond to leave you thirsty for more experiences and knowledge that Napa Valley has to offer! Upon conclusion of the class, you'll receive a certificate of completion.
Thursday, September 9 (6 pm): Riesling
Riesling is one of the most versatile grape varieties in the world. During Masterclass you will learn about how different regions produce wines with juicy acidity, great complexity, longevity, and length. From best examples of dry Riesling to most stunning with residual sugar. Learn about what makes this variety so special and why it’s perfect for any occasion!
Rieslings are perfect for pairing with food because they have high acidity which balances out rich flavors. They're also great as an aperitif before dinner because their low alcohol content won't fill you up too much but still provide that refreshing feeling on your palate, and if you want something sweeter after dinner then these wines are perfect because some can have higher levels of residual sugar that will match your dessert.

We know that the world of champagne can be a little confusing. That’s why we created this event for you. You will learn about all the different types of champagne, from single varietal to blends and nonvintage to vintage. You will also get an opportunity to taste them all!

Friday, October 29th, (6pm) The Geology and Soils of Napa Valley and their Representation in Napa Valley’s Appellations
Interested in the geology and soils of Napa Valley and their influence on wines?
If so, then this is the talk for you! Dr. Anamosa will be discussing the geology and soils of Napa Valley and how they have shaped the wines that we all know and love. The Geology and Soils of Napa Valley is a Masterclass that will explore the plate tectonics and ensuing geological events that have shaped Napa Valley, how that geology has resulted in the formation of the soils from valley floor to mountain tops, and how this diversity is represented in our American Viticultural Areas. You’ll get an understanding for what makes these wines so special. You will also taste wines made from grapes grown in different soil compositions and get to know the soils by sense of touch to understand their structure.

Thursday, November 18 (6 pm): Beaujolais
You know that Beaujolais can be young and fruity, but you might not know that the region has so much more to offer. During this Masterclass, we'll explore 10 Crus of Beaujolais and learn about soil and winemaking influences on styles of wines. We'll taste Gamay grape varieties and learn how to recognize them by evidence from the glass. And we'll find out that not all Beaujolais are made with carbonic maceration.
