EDUCATIONAL WINE TOURS
Napa Valley Wine Academy is proud to offer educational wine tours designed for serious students of wine. Our travel offerings allow for an immersive learning experience in wine regions such as Napa Valley, Bourgogne (aka Burgundy), Mosel-Rheingau, Bordeaux, Greece, Willamette Valley, Santa Barbara, Sonoma, and more. All of our educational wine tours are designed and hosted by recognized regional experts, including Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers, and other world-renowned experts.
When you travel to a region with us, you’ll gain access to wine education experiences, wineries, and vineyards not ordinarily accessible to the public. You’ll have the opportunity to dine with winery owners, winemakers, viticulturists, and other experts at wineries. You’ll taste incredible wines, typical to the region, with experts that will share educational insights that will deepen your understanding on the region and its wines. These are learning opportunities that you would otherwise not have access to. You’ll see and experience things as a student in ways that those who only study textbooks don’t.
As America’s Premier Wine School and one of the most respected wine education institutions, we have deep connections and relationships with many of the best producers and experts in the best wine regions. Our educational wine tours go beyond regular “tourist” wine tours and focus on hands-on educational experiences that provide you with unparalleled access to information, winery, and vineyards visits and knowledge. Our tours are carefully crafted to be educational at every step. When you travel with us, we stay in hotels located in the heart of the regions, enjoy educational wine tastings in top wineries, visit the vineyards to gain an understanding of terroir, viticulture, and the natural influences that impact a wines style, quality, and price. Of course, we also dine on some of the most delicious local cuisines in some of the most beautiful places accompanied by the experts. And it’s all in an educational, fun and exciting atmosphere!
Our educational tours are designed for the passional wine student, whether they be professionals or enthusiasts. If you are looking for more of a traditional wine tour that is light on education, this is NOT the tour for you.
Our tours are organized in partnership and collaborate with leading experts in the area, along with local travel agencies.
Most of our tours last from five (5) to seven (7) days and include all accommodations, ground transportation in the region, breakfast, lunch, and some dinners, education by experts, and the tasting of 80+ classic wines.
Our tours are limited to a maximum of 14 students. This ensures the best opportunity to experience the region in an intimate yet highly educational manner; it also makes it a diverse and fun group.

Join Napa Valley Wine Academy and Greek Grape Wine Tours (GGWT) for an amazing 6 day/7 night educational trip exploring the wines, wine regions and culture of Greece.
