SOMMDAY SCHOOL™ Workshops
Our hands-on SommDay School™ workshops are designed for students in the food, beverage, and hospitality industry who are just starting their Sommelier education journey, and ideal for those looking to further improve their service and tasting skills. These day-long intensive workshops were developed by Master Sommelier Tim Gaiser and Napa Valley Wine Academy. The goal of each 8-hour session is aimed at helping waitstaff, bartenders, F&B managers, wine buyers, winery tasting room staff and anyone else working in the food and wine industry to hone their tasting and service skills, as well as better prepare those interested in pursuing sommelier certification exams such as Society of Wine Educators and the Wine & Spirit Education Trust examinations. SommDay School™ Workshops are also ideal for the student who wants to continue to study, taste, and practice their service techniques in preparation for the Court of Master Sommeliers’ Intro and Certified Sommelier exams. For anyone outside the industry–the avid wine enthusiast–you will also benefit from these workshops as they offer a taste of the life of a Sommelier. Workshops include:

About the Instructor
Tim Gaiser, MS
Master Sommelier- Instructor, Member of the Board of AdvisersTim Gaiser is a internationally renowned wine expert and lecturer. He is one of 240 individuals worldwide to attain the elite Master Sommelier wine title and is the former Director of Education and Education chair for the Court of Master Sommeliers, Americas. Tim continues at the Court on the Board of Directors and sits on the exam standards and exam development committees.
