Celebrating Rioja's 100th Anniversary | TAMPA - Epicurean Hotel | March 16, 2025 4-6 PM (Copy)

Celebrating 100 Years of Rioja Rioja is celebrating its 100th Anniversary as Spain’s first official wine region Denominaçion de Origén (D.O.) In the century since 1925, Rioja built its reputation on its heritage - Tempranillo blends, aging well for decades in American oak, from vineyards under the same family ownership for generations. Please join us for an extraordinary Master Class on Rioja, where we feature eight wines from Rioja’s storied Centenary bodegas. These vineyards and bodegas were founded in the late 1800’s by Rioja’s iconic names - Muga, Carlos Serres, R. Lopez de Heredia, Marquès de Murrieta. We will taste eight beautiful Rioja wines from these icons - in styles ranging from the new sparkling wine Espumoso de Rioja, to aromatic white wines, to the benchmark aged reds. We will explore the terroir of Rioja by comparing Reserva wines from different sub-regions. And we will revel in the beautiful Gran Reserva wines from older vintages.
