Course Format: The WSET’s online learning classroom contains weekly reading assignments, forum discussions, and individual & group activities. Student’s may log-in and complete their coursework at their own pace for the duration of the course.
Course Duration: Students have access to the online course for 7 weeks. Outside of these 7 weeks of online classroom study, students will continue to self-study and review. Students should expect to study for a minimum of 60 hours over 2.5 months.
Course Materials: The main materials for Unit 1 include electronic PDF guides to the Global Alcoholic Beverage Markets and the Marketing of Alcoholic Beverages. In addition to their online classroom, students also receive access to the WSET’s Online Global Campus and Feedback Testing Classroom to access supplemental learning material & mock exams. NVWA also hosts several live and recorded webinars for additional learning opportunities.
Exam: Unit 1 Business of Alcoholic Beverages is assessed by means of a closed-book theory paper in the form of a case-study examination to be completed in 75 minutes.
