Join us for a very unique opportunity to learn about the world of wine in a hands-on experience, in the heart of America’s wine country. This “hands on course” includes getting down and dirty during harvest and visits to both vineyards and the cellar. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to fully understand what makes the 2018 vintage in Napa Valley unique. Our experts from the vineyards and cellars explain and demonstrate the winemaking processes, including all the touching, smelling, and tasting required to produce outstanding wines. Be directly involved in making wine. We are the ONLY WSET provider in the United States to offer you this unique learning opportunity. Get an insider’s view into what makes the Napa Valley one of the most renowned wine regions in the world. Come see for yourself where winemaking theory and practical techniques come together in this immersive course. Space is limited and awarded on a first come first served basis.

PLEASE NOTE that Level 3 WSET courses take place over 7 consecutive days (with the exam held on day 8):

  • Sunday, September 16 to Saturday, September 22, 2018 – 9am to 5pm
  • Sunday, September 23, 2018 10am to 1pm – EXAM

Class is taught at education center in Napa and includes field study trips to vineyard properties were you will learn about viticulture and to wineries where you will learn winemaking first hand. Price $2500 (includes all study materials, wines, field-trip transportation, lunch during the course, vintner hosted dinner,  exam fees, and instructors)

This course provides a more in-depth and comprehensive look at the world of wines and spirits with an intense focus on systematically and professionally tasting wines. The WSET® Level 3 course covers the major grapes and wine styles produced around the world, including what influences the style and quality of these wines and the prices procured for them. A guided tasting of 60 different wines –still, sparkling, and fortified—and four spirits will be conducted in class over the course of 7 days. Level of Knowledge Needed to Take This Course:  WSET® Level 2 certification is HIGHLY recommended.     • This course is ideal for anyone wishing to hold knowledge of the main wine and spirits of the world, and to master a systematic approach to tasting that lets students access their quality and price.
    • Level III is particularly recommended to equip those employed around the world in the wine and/or spirits industry with the authority and confidence to make informed decisions in a wide variety of trade situations. For those in a supervisory capacity, or those wishing to advance to such a position, the course provides the skills to advise management or customers on wine and spirit selections.
    • This course is also for wine collectors or wine enthusiasts who wish to gain better knowledge of wine and spirits in order to recognize varied wines around the world and the ability to access their quality and the price being asked for such wines.

To successfully obtain the WSET® Level 3 Award Certification in Wine & Spirits, students must take a two-part exam: a written and tasting portion. Upon successful completion of this WSET® Level 3 Certification Course you will have gained

    • In-depth training on wines, spirits and liqueurs of the world with an understanding on the factors that influence style, quality and price.
    • Knowledge applicable to sales, hospitality and wholesale areas of the industry, but also to those wishing to gain deeper knowledge of wines around the world.
    • WSET® Tutored tasting of 45 wines and 4 spirits which lets you professionally access wines and spirits.
    • An advanced Level 3 Award in Wine & Spirits Certification from the WSET®
    • Ability to request and use the official logo — WSET® Certified Advanced — on your business cards, websites and other professional material.
  • The required pre-requisite for WSET® Level 4 Diploma in Wine & Spirits
