WEBINAR – LIVE WITH OZ CLARKE
Recorded April 4, 2022
‘Oz Clarke is the nearest thing to genius in the world of wine writing.’
Harpers
Oz Clarke’s aptitude for wine dates back to his days at Oxford University, where he won tasting competitions at a precociously early age. Today he is recognized as having one of the finest palates of anyone writing about wine, and has won every major wine writing award in the UK and USA (some multiple times).
But writing isn’t the only way he has shaped the experience of today’s wine consumer. His work as a BBC TV and radio personality in the 80s and 90 helped popularize wine drinking by making it feel accessible.
Oz’s current best-selling books include The History of Wine in 100 Bottles, Bordeaux, Grapes & Wines (with Margaret Rand), World of Wine and Wine by the Glass.
His latest book, “Oz Clarke On Wine” is part memoir/part guide, displaying his trademark wit and encyclopedic knowledge. In it he explores the wine world’s most beautiful landscapes, zaniest characters and most elusive flavors. He also reveals where wine is seeing its best success in our warming world.
In this webinar, NVWA Director of Education Catherine Bugue will host an intimate chat with the wine legend, including a short Q&A from the audience.
