In January of this year, we officially moved into our very own brick and mortar, headquartered at 2501 Oak Street, smartly situated at the corner of California and Oak in downtown Napa, California.
The space was formerly occupied by a theater arts school, which leaves a lingering excited energy in the walls, good vibes all around and speaks to our core mission of educating with passion and enthusiasm.
Our door is always open and we encourage you to come by for a visit, even just to say hello and introduce yourself. There’s always something fun going on and great conversation to be had. If we’re not debating the future of the wine industry, snapping photos for a Facebook post or geeking out on French or Italian labelling laws, we might be polishing entire racks of Riedel stemware.
Maximilian Riedel himself is a big supporter of our Academy and we are incredibly grateful to Riedel for providing us with a vast array of glassware, which we use in our tastings and classes.
Below is a photo tour of the school and some images from our inaugural offering of the Italian Wine Professional (IWP), which took place at the end of April. (The IWP was created by Geralyn Brostrom, CWE, WSET Advanced, IWP, one of our brilliant instructors and the former Director of Education for Winebow, and her husband Jack Brostrom, IWP. Geralyn even popped her head in to see how the class was going–a typical day here at the Academy).
