If a candidate is not able to complete all six units in the initial three years, the WSET will require payment of a candidate renewal fee for an additional three years of eligibility. The WSET releases two D6 topic briefs every year on August 1. One topic always has a deadline of the following January 31, and the other topic always has a deadline of the following July 31. Students may choose which topic they would like to write about, and the paper must be submitted before its assigned deadline. Submission requires mailing a hard copy of your paper to NVWA, which must be received \u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eBEFORE\u003c\/span\u003e the deadline, as well as emailing a PDF version to the WSET.
